One strategy I would make use of is differentiated instruction. Through differentiated instruction, I can make use of learning menus. Learning Menus are also a valuable source of assessment. This provides students the ability to select they type of assessment they prefer. I will also make use of learning menus to properly assess students through application of Gardner’s multiple intelligences. “The use of varied assessment tools gives teachers a way to create situations in which children can show their understanding of the material” (Conti, 2008).
