From my experience, a teacher needs to be concerned with transition because this shows his or her management skills. In the beginning of the school year, students are learning the transitions of the day, and consistency in approach help to make it understandable to them. Making transitions seamless can help a teacher avoid chaos, and keep students with on-task behavior. Organization and a well thought out schedule can help a teacher make transition time seamless.
Inside my classroom, I continually think about ways with each lesson to connect it into my centers to make a transition seamless. What is important to consider is relating the information to the theme or literature book studying. This way, you can create unique approaches and experiences for the children that are enjoyable.
